09 Apr 2019 - 狗注射疫苗后会死 沈桂贤:还有民众误解

(古晋9日讯)一些民众认为说﹐如果他们让狗只注射疫苗的话﹐那狗只就可能会因此死亡﹐但有关情况其实也是狗只已经被感染的症状之一。 

砂地方政府与房屋部部长拿督沈桂贤是在出席今日于古晋巴达旺市议会大厦举行的狂犬病行动剖析会议后﹐以文告方式如是指出。

他说明﹐对政府当局而言﹐狂犬病行动乃是一项深具挑战的重要使命。但他遗憾看到﹐许多民众还是对狂犬病行动有所误解。他因此强调说﹐政府当局并没有禁止民众饲养狗只。

狗已受感染才会死

他只提醒说﹕“狂犬病是可以致死的病毒﹐所以请让狗只留在自身的住家范围之内﹐并让它们接受狂犬病疫苗的注射。”

他称﹐一些民众就认为说﹐如果他们不让狗只注射疫苗的话﹐狗只就不会死亡。

“反过来说﹐如果他们让狗只注射疫苗的话﹐它们就可能会死。”

他直言﹐但有关情况﹐其实也是狗只已经被感染的症状之一。他不忘表示﹐在狗只注射疫苗届满一年后﹐狗主们也需要携带狗只再次接受相关的疫苗注射。

06 Apr 2019 - Sarawak govt to build 2,500 affordable homes in next two years

KUCHING: The Sarawak government will construct more than 2,500 affordable houses, known as ‘Rumah Spektra’, in the next two years.

According to Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian, some of the housing projects are on-going, while others are still in the planning stage.

He points out that the projects are scattered all over Sarawak, and the houses are meant for those whose monthly household income is below RM3,000.

“The construction of 1,013 units is on-going, while another 1,516 units are still in the planning stage. The government has allocated RM100 million for end-financing, which will be provided by Mutiara Mortage and Credit Sdn Bhd,” Dr Sim told reporters during a press conference at Vivacity Megamall here yesterday.

24 Mar 2019 - Housing tribunal settles 14 cases so far this year

KUCHING: The Sarawak Housing Purchaser Claims Tribunal has settled 14 cases brought before it so far this year while for the whole of last year, it  settled 103 cases. In 2017, 50 cases were settled by the tribunal.

According to a press release yesterday, the tribunal was established on May 1, 2010 to provide an alternative way to settle housing disputes between housing developer and purchaser.

“The tribunal will hear and adjudicate housing purchaser’s claims for compensation of liquidated ascertained damages, defects of workmanship as well as non-compliance with the specifications stated in the Sale and Purchase Agreement.

01 Mar 2019 - Local Government and Housing Ministry to request RM60 mln to help local councils – Dr Sim

KUCHING: The Ministry of Local Government and Housing will request for RM60 million from the Sarawak government to help local councils affected by the revenue shortfalls.

Its minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said he would submit a cabinet paper requesting the Sarawak government for the amount so that all the councils and councillors can do better, interact more with the community and conduct more activities with the community.

He said many councils in Sarawak were experiencing a revenue shortfall following the Sarawak government’s decision to bring down the residential property assessment rates.
